What is facial balancing?

Facial balancing is a tailored approach to injectables that addresses every aspect and every angle. You face is assessed as a whole and treatment is customized to areas of the face that are throwing off the harmony of your appearance. Rather than spot treating, we want your features to flow seamlessly from one area to the next, which in turn gives a more youthful, chic and refreshed look. Your results are refined and undetectable-not puffy and unnatural.

Do you inject noses?

Yes- a nonsurgical nose rhinoplasty is when we use filler to smooth the bump of the nose and lift the tip.  Silvia has had extensive training with a world-renowned nonsurgical nose expert, Dr. Ayad Harb of London. This has allowed her to appreciate the anatomy of the nose and provide the safest technique for the best result.

How long do results last?

HAIR RESTORATION: depending on your at-home care and biological causes of hair thinning, typically patients are seen on a yearly basis for retreatment.

Longevity of results depends on many factors. Below are typical retreatment times:

NEUROTOXIN: every 3-4 months-it has been recently noted that taking Zinc supplements 3 days before and 3 days after your appointment can make your Botox/Dysport treatment last longer. It is also important to note that dosage=duration meaning if you are dosed properly, your results will last the typical 3-4 months rather than underdosing and returning sooner than you should.

FILLER: most results are noticeable for 1-1.5 years but maintenance and “touch-ups” are done with a minimal amount of product every year for up keep.

SCULPTRA: Collagen continues to decrease as we age and every year. After your initial treatment with the proper dosage, maintenance is recommended every 2 years.

NECK OR CHEST REJUVENATION: Using the biostimulator Radiesse and continuing to use the proper skincare for the areas, you should expect a duration of 1 year.

PRF/EZ GEL: used for the undereyes, this regenerative treatment should be repeated yearly.

NON-SURGICAL NOSE RHINOPLASTY: re-treatment is typically every 2 years

What can I do about sun spots/discoloration?

We incorporate skin treatments with skincare to combat discoloration. Our favorite treatment is The Perfect Derma Chemical Peel done in a series of 3 sessions along with skincare that reduces pigment and encourage a gentle exfoliation of the skin.

What is Liquid Microneedling?

We proudly offer Cell Story Liquid Microneedling which is a Korean based skin technology that promotes skin turnover without the needles traditionally used with microneedling. The treatment is done in a series of 4 sessions, each session performed in 8 steps with little downtime. The treatment addresses skin texture, acne and skin tone. It can be combined with a series of chemical peels for more aggressive acne and texture concerns.

I am getting married!
What is the right timeline for aesthetic treatments?

Skin health is an ongoing process so your very exciting big day is best planned around the proper foundation.

After a consultation you will be recommend products and treatments that correct concerns and bring about the radiance of your skin. Here is an example breakdown of your wedding prep process:

SKINCARE:
Immediately add in skincare that addresses any skin issues. Most require medical grade skincare beautifully paired with holistic products.

INJECTABLES:
Ideally, begin 1 year prior to your event, but if that is not feasible then 6 months would be appropriate. Your filler or Sculptra treatment should be completed 3 months prior to your event. Your neurotoxin treatment can be done 1 month prior to your event.

MEDICAL SKIN TREATMENTS:
  • Chemical peels or liquid microneedling to address discoloration/acne/texture concerns should be be completed 2 months prior to your event.

  • An Aquagold Fine touch treatment enhances the glow of your skin. This can be done 1 week before your event.

FACIALS:
These are done monthly leading up to your event and the type of facial adjusted according to the improvement of your skin.

When should I start cosmetic injections?

A misconception surrounding injectables is that they should begin when you start to see the signs of aging. When being seen at our practice, we take a less is more approach. Whether you are new to injectables or have had them in the past, our goal is to have you feeling like your best self in a gradual way. Preventative injectables will be recommended based on your anatomy, so a treatment once before seen as taboo may be suggested to prevent signs of aging and keep a refreshed, bright appearance.

Will facial oil products break me out? I have oily skin.

Although we cannot guarantee anything, all of or facial oils from Monastery and Apoterra that we use in the treatment room are specifically formulated for acne. They use high quality anti-inflammatory ingredients that help reduce breakouts, redness and irritation.

Do I need to come with clean skin?

Best to come with a bare face but if you absolutely have to come with makeup, we can remove it for you.

If I have very sensitive skin, can I still get a facial?

Our products are gentle but effective. They have very healing and non irritating ingredients that help with broken skin barriers.

How often should I get a facial?

Every 4-6 weeks is recommended but if you can’t make it back that soon try to shoot for 6 times a year!
